PokerStars Summary |
| |
PokerStars is the top online room for Tournaments and ring game player traffic. PokerStars was the pioneer for certain characteristics that you have come accustomed to like taking notes on players. The software and the graphic are of real quality and the site is really fun to play at. There is one side affect of hving a great poker room.
There are a real number of pros that play at this site and the competition above the $3/$6 are pretty tough. The site is renound for developing some of the greatest players in the world, Greg "Fossilman" Raymer and Chris Moneymaker who won the World Series of Poker in 2003 and 2004 consecutively making it back to back wins for PokerStars players. When playing multi player tournaments you can also make deals while at the table. Support is very good on site and this site comes highly recommended. A must try in terms of online action. |

PokerStars has certainly grown in stature following their success in the WSOP in 2003 and 2004. Being the leading site for tournaments and heads up play, they command a good player base. The traffic is second now only to Party Poker. Real money players in ring games is approximately 6,500 - 8000 players. Tournament traffic at peak hours can be anywhere from a massive 35,000 - 45,000 players. These players are rewarded by a host of special promotion events and the WCOOP (World Championship Of Online Poker) hosted annually during the summer.

Software / Graphics |
| |
The software is amongst the best in the industry. It is very smooth and always runs very quickly without clitches. As the site plays host to so many tournament players having such good software is an essential to keeping hold of their player base. The platform hosts a lot of players and many tournaments see up to 2000 players.
PokerStars were the first to introduce player notes, a feature which is now found in most top sites. The lobby is very easy to navigate around and it supports view flop percentages, hands per hour and average pot. The software also evenly balances tables throughout tournaments and you can upload your picture to take to the tables which makes the poker experience a little more realistic. All in all mice graphics and software that is leaps above most other card rooms, a must play. |

Promotions Rating |
| |
The promotions are more geared for the regular player. At present there is no sign up bonus but there are endless reasons that you should play this site, that make up for any Bonus that you might get. The site has frequent player points which are used on the site and can buy you in to tournaments and buy you things from their shop. A Frequent Player Point (FPP) is awarded for each raked hand and you will get five FPPs for each $1 paid in tournament registration fees that you pay.
There are also frequent re-deposit bonuses offered to existing players where you receive around 20-25% bonus match of deposits often anywhere up to $600. |

Games on Offer |
| |
They offer most popular games on site. They are the leading site for Heads up action and of course tournament play. You will find Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Stud Poker, Stud Hi/Lo and a good range of Sit'N'Go tables (starting chips 1500). All games carry good player traffic. There is also plenty of action in the high stakes tables with limits in Holdem games up at $100/$200, $15/$30 in Omaha and $30/$60 in Stud games.
Micro limits are also offered with no rake taken at these levels. |

Customer Service / Support |
| |
PokerStars has no live or telephone support but they do have very good email support. In our tests we received a reply within 10 minutes which is pretty good with the number of players on the site. The site will continue to throw resource at their customer service with up to 50,000 players on the site at peak hours.
I would not be surprised if we see the introduction fo live support at some time in the near future. |
